ABOUT

Inside the messy kitchen.

“I never realised how lucky I was as a child growing up in 70’s UK I was exposed to many different cuisines due to my varied family background (my mum’s side anyway). My paternal side was Bristol with maybe a little Welsh. Maternal side was more complicated with my grandmother an Azerbajini muslim and grandfather Bulgarian jew who both grew up in France before ww2 meeting in Tehran and having my mother.”
During a period of 6 years JP lived in H-K, China, Thailand and Taiwan; DJing full time. Learning how to cook again became his part time hobby– if he wasn't spinning vinyls he was chopping; spooning for old family favourites; mainly Iranian dishes thanks to the women in his family. Whilst learning the basics of home cooked Thai and Chinese, shared by local friends. The return home to the UK came with a new interest for JP – joining a friend's Japanese restaurant sponging knowledge and working his way up to head chef in 2 years before taking the leap to spend a few years working for Nobu in London and St. Moritz.
Moving to Switzerland to switch things up as a private chef for chalets, JP will welcome you with the comfort of your own home, the scents of travelling sensations and the taste of silence. Over a double decade JP has been dining privately on the seas, in famous London restaurants and in private clients' homes. His discrepancy is only the underlying flavour of the dishes he invites you too. Don't miss the surprise…
